My Community Profile

6 min read

What it is

Your public-facing community identity. Editable fields: bio, Twitter handle, website, avatar (upload or deterministic gradient from your name). Auto-computed stats: current streak, call stats (total calls / accuracy % / avg return), follow stats (followers / following). 4 visual achievement badges (Verified / Trusted Trader / Premium / Top Contributor). 5-tier subscription badge. Optional chat role ring (Owner / Super Admin / Admin / Mod / VIP). Other users see this when they click your name in any room.

How to think about it

Your profile is mostly built automatically from your activity — every stat is verified by the system. You can edit only bio + Twitter + website + avatar. Stats (calls, accuracy, follower count) are not editable because they ARE your reputation. Transparency is the design choice.

Step-by-step

  1. Open your own profile

Community → My Profile. Shows handle, tier badge, role badge (if assigned), follow stats. Mirrors the visual layout other users see, plus edit affordances on the editable fields.

  2. Edit bio + Twitter + website

Click Edit icon. Bio (max ~280 chars). Twitter handle (without @). Website URL. Save. These are the only fields you can change — everything else is system-computed.

  3. Set your avatar

Click the avatar to upload a PNG/JPG. If no upload, the avatar is a deterministic colored gradient generated from your display name — same name always produces the same gradient, so people recognize you across rooms.

  4. Read the auto-computed call stats

Total calls made, accuracy %, average return per resolved call, current streak. Updates automatically as your verified BUY/SELL calls resolve. Verified Caller badge unlocks at 60% accuracy on 20+ resolved calls.

  5. Read the 4 visual achievement badges

🔵 Verified (email confirmed + 30 days active). 🟢 Trusted Trader (100+ trades + 60%+ win rate). 🟡 Premium Member (Elite tier subscriber). ⭐ Top Contributor (community-voted most helpful). Each badge appears next to your name across rooms once earned.

  6. Check streak + follow stats

Streak = consecutive daily check-ins (Chat Rooms tracks this). Followers = users who chose to follow you. Following = users you chose to follow. Follow / Unfollow other users from their profile pages.

  7. Privacy: what is visible to others

Public: display name + tier + role + stats + bio + socials + avatar. Private: wallet identity, exchange identity, real-name, account balances, individual order sizes, internal notes. Anything you did not type into a public-facing field stays private.

Tips & pitfalls

  • Stats are public and cannot be edited or hidden. Total transparency builds trust — if you cherry-picked your accuracy %, no one would believe it.
  • Verified Caller status (60% on 20+ resolved calls) is permanent. Once earned, the badge stays. If your accuracy drops below 60% later, the badge does NOT get removed automatically (reputation is sticky).
  • Follower count grows when others choose to follow you. Pro tip: share helpful analysis (not just call counts). People follow value, not noise.
  • The 4-color badge system (blue / green / gold / star) layers on top of the 5-tier subscription badge. A starter-tier user with the Trusted Trader green badge looks more credible than a pro-tier user without it — earned > paid.
  • Avatar gradient is deterministic from your display name. Change your display name → gradient changes too. Useful if you want a specific color (try variations of your handle).
  • Twitter + website are public — anyone can click. Do not link a wallet-revealing profile if you want to stay pseudonymous.
  • Bio is your personal pitch. "Day-trades BTC/ETH on Coinbase, posts setups in #signals" is far more useful than "Trader since 2017". Specificity attracts the right followers.
  • For OTHER users' profiles (read-only), click any name in chat or click a leaderboard row. Same shell as your own minus edit controls.
