Listing Readiness Scorecard

8 min read

What it is

For TOKEN ISSUERS planning to apply for a tier-1 CEX listing. Combines on-chain facts (contract verified, deployment date) + market data (market cap, volume, existing CEX listings) + your self-attested project artifacts (audit firm, GitHub, whitepaper, KYC, legal opinion, active social) into per-CEX letter grades A-F. Currently scores against 5 major CEXes (Binance, Coinbase, OKX, Kraken, Gemini) using each exchange's PUBLIC listing policy as citations. Surfaces "top gaps" — the highest-impact items to fix before applying.

How to think about it

Tier-1 CEX listings take months of prep. There is no public scorecard, so issuers waste time pursuing exchanges they will not qualify for. This tool removes the guessing. Per-CEX grades let you focus prep on the exchanges most likely to accept you; the top gaps list tells you what to fix first. NOT a guarantee — exchanges weigh subjective factors (team interview, exclusivity terms, deal fees) that no tool can score.

Step-by-step

  1. Read the "What is this tool" panel

Top of page, expandable green card. Explains the problem, what the tool does, and the 3-step workflow. 30 seconds of context saves an hour of wrong inputs. New users should expand this once before using.

  2. Pick a scenario preset

5 presets pre-tick the attestation checkboxes for typical projects of each type: DeFi protocol (heavy open-source bar — audit + GitHub + KYC + legal), Utility token (audit + GitHub + whitepaper), GameFi / NFT (audit + GitHub + whitepaper), Memecoin (community-driven baseline — usually skips audit/docs), Stablecoin / RWA (mandatory audit + KYC + legal opinion). Click your closest match to start.

  3. Paste your contract address + pick chain

10 chains supported: Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BSC, Avalanche, Blast, Linea, Scroll. The tool reads on-chain to confirm contract verification status, deployment date, and current pool/liquidity state — these are FACTS, not your claims.

  4. Adjust the attestation checkboxes

After applying a preset, tick or untick each item to match what your project actually has. 6 checkboxes: Has Audit (with auditFirm name), Has GitHub (with URL), Has Whitepaper, KYC Founders, Legal Opinion, Active Social. Be honest — exchanges verify these in their own review process; false claims at this stage just waste your time.

  5. Click Score readiness

Backend combines on-chain + market data + your attestations and grades against each of the 5 CEXes' public policies. Takes 5-10 seconds. Results: per-CEX grade (A-F) with score, the highest-ranked exchange (best fit for application), top gaps list (what to fix next).

  6. Read the per-CEX grades

Ranked best-to-worst. Each card shows the CEX name, your grade (A-F), score, and the specific criteria you passed/partial/failed for that exchange. Different exchanges weight criteria differently — you might be an A for Coinbase but a C for Binance based on the same data.

  7. Read the top gaps + plan fixes

Highest-impact items to close. Each gap shows: the criterion name, why it matters, which CEXes care most about it, and (where applicable) a recommended next action. Example: "Add an audit from a top-3 firm: improves Binance/Coinbase score by ~15 points each."

  8. Re-run after closing gaps

After completing an item (e.g., signing with an audit firm, publishing whitepaper, getting a legal opinion), come back, update the checkbox, and re-score. Track your trajectory across multiple scoring sessions — your grade should climb as gaps close.

Tips & pitfalls

  • Self-attested items are CLAIMED, not VERIFIED. The tool grades you ASSUMING your attestations are true. CEXes will independently verify during their review. If you tick Has Audit and you have not actually audited, the tool overstates your grade — you are lying to yourself.
  • 5 major CEXes covered: Binance, Coinbase, OKX, Kraken, Gemini. These represent ~80% of global retail volume. Tier-2 exchanges (Bybit, KuCoin, Bitget) are not yet in the scorecard — coming in a future pass.
  • Memecoin baseline is realistic. Memecoins typically skip audit + GitHub + whitepaper and still get listed on tier-2 exchanges. The Memecoin preset reflects that honest baseline — do not be alarmed if it grades C/D on Coinbase. Coinbase is not your target.
  • Stablecoin / RWA preset is the heaviest bar — audit + KYC + legal opinion are MANDATORY for regulated assets. If your project is RWA-adjacent and you have not closed these, you are not ready to apply anywhere.
  • Top gaps are ordered by EXPECTED SCORE IMPACT. The #1 gap is the single highest-leverage thing you can fix. Often it is "complete an audit from a top-3 firm" or "publish a whitepaper that explains tokenomics + risks". Each fixed gap typically lifts 2-3 CEX grades by 10-20 points.
  • NOT a guarantee. Subjective factors (team interview, exclusivity terms, listing fees, market timing) are not in the scorecard. A B+ grade does not guarantee acceptance; an F does not guarantee rejection. Treat the scorecard as a strong proxy, not an oracle.
  • On-chain facts (verified contract, deployment date, current listings) cannot be faked. Self-attested facts can. The grading weighs the on-chain facts more heavily for this reason — they are the source of truth.
  • Sister tools (also Issuer Tools menu): Launch Volume Forecaster (post-listing volume projection), DEX Liquidity Optimizer (how much liquidity to deploy), Launch Roadmap (timeline planning). Use them in sequence as your project matures toward a real listing application.
