What it is

Paid Channels lets verified creators monetize their channels with USDC subscriptions. 1-3 subscription tiers ($1-$500/month each), 80/20 revenue split (creator/platform), Trust Card with verified stats, auto-enforcement for inactive creators.

How to think about it

Currently feature-flagged OFF — UI shows "Coming Q3 2026". When activated, eligible creators (Pro+, 30+ days, 50+ followers, Verified Caller) can apply.

Step-by-step

  1. Wait for launch

    Feature is currently disabled. Channel Discovery page shows "Coming Q3 2026" banner. Admin will toggle the flag when ready.

  2. Apply (when launched)

    Channel Settings → Make Paid → eligibility check → application form (1-3 tiers with names, prices, perks list, channel description, sample content, refund policy). Disclaimer must be accepted.

  3. Wait for approval

    Founder/admin reviews within 7 days. Approved → channel goes paid. Rejected → reasons provided.

  4. Subscribe (as a viewer)

    Browse paid channels → click Trust Card → review verified stats (call accuracy, average return, channel age, refund rate, posts/week) → pick a tier → pay USDC. Subscription active for 30 days.

  5. Cancel anytime

    Cancellation keeps access until paid-through date. No partial refunds for the current period (use pro-rated refund within 7 days of subscription start instead).

Tips & pitfalls

  • Creator inactivity triggers auto-enforcement: 7 days no posts → subscriptions paused (no charge), 14 days → current month refunded, 30 days → paid status revoked.
  • Trust Card stats are computed by haythix — creators cannot fake them. Total transparency.
  • Trial users cannot subscribe to paid channels. Free tier cannot subscribe. Must be Starter+ to subscribe.
  • Creator agreement (legal): you are an independent user, not a financial advisor. No "guaranteed returns" language. Clean moderation record required (0 strikes in 90 days).
