What it is

Track large on-chain transactions and identify wallets with historically profitable trade patterns. Smart money tracking gives you visibility into what big players are buying or distributing.

How to think about it

Whale Watcher tab is inside Portfolio Analytics. Real-time external on-chain data — not user-specific, always live.

Step-by-step

  1. Smart Money Accumulation

Per-token net flow over 7 days. Direction (accumulation/distribution), whale count, signal (Strong Buy/Mild Buy/Mild Sell/Strong Sell), confidence level (Low/Medium/High).

  2. Top Smart Money Wallets

Top 10 most profitable wallets ranked by 30-day P&L. Shows their win rate, total trades, top holdings, and most recent action.

  3. Recent Whale Transactions

Large trades >$500K with type (buy/sell/transfer), USD value, from/to addresses (anonymized for non-exchange wallets), and smart money tagging.

Tips & pitfalls

  • Smart money lag — by the time you see a whale trade, the price has often already moved. Use as research input, not signals.
  • Wallet labels are heuristic — some "smart money" wallets are actually market makers, MEV bots, or arbitrage desks. Their strategies aren't copyable.
  • Strong Buy signal means net 7-day accumulation by multiple wallets. Doesn't guarantee further price increase.
  • Combine whale signals with your own thesis — never blindly follow whales.
