Track 5 competitors with Competitor Tracker (monthly research cadence)

Spot wash-trading neighbors + momentum shifts before your team does

15 min initial setup + 30 min monthly review · intermediate

What you'll have when finished

  • Have 5 competitors tracked with live metrics + bot likelihood
  • Know how to verify each flag against raw data
  • Have a monthly research cadence in your calendar

Before you start

  • Bot Likelihood is a HEURISTIC, not a verdict. Verify every flag against raw data
  • Do NOT publicly accuse competitors based on this tool alone — false-positive risk
  • Hourly heat map showing 24/7 flat activity is the highest-signal flag, even more than the bot score

Walkthrough

  1. List your 5 closest competitors

Before opening the tool, write down 5 tokens that compete for the same buyers, same audience, same listing CEXes. Get their contract addresses + chains from DexScreener or the project sites.

Success criteria: You have 5 (name, contract, chain) tuples ready

  2. Open Competitor Tracker + Track new token x5

Elite → Competitor Tracker. Click Track new token for each of your 5. Display name = the competitor's name (so the row is human-readable). Contract + chain. Add. Takes 30-60 sec per token for initial metric pull.

Success criteria: All 5 competitors appear in your watchlist with metrics populated

  3. Scan the watchlist row by row

Each row shows market cap + health score + bot likelihood + actions. Note which competitors are: HIGH bot likelihood (likely faking volume), POOR health (bleeding fundamentals), LARGE market cap (the leaders you need to position against).

Success criteria: You have a mental map of who is faking, who is bleeding, who is leading

  4. Pick the most suspicious competitor + click Details

Open Details for the HIGH bot likelihood competitor. Full breakdown loads: daily volume chart, hourly heat map (look for flat 24/7 = bot, market-hours-clustered = human), buy/sell ratio, dominant wallet share, individual flag badges with raw data.

Success criteria: You have read the hourly heat map and verified the bot likelihood verdict

  5. Verify every flag by reading the raw data

Each flag shows the evidence: "Volume too uniform" shows the daily volume series. "Pool depth 10× daily volume" shows both numbers. If a flag does not match reality (e.g., the daily volume series IS varied), dismiss the flag mentally. Heuristics can be wrong; the design surfaces evidence so you can correct it.

Success criteria: You can confirm or dismiss each flag based on raw data

  6. Compare 2 competitors side-by-side

Use the Compare tab. Pick the leader vs the runner-up in your space. Normalized metrics side-by-side: volume-to-liquidity ratio, health score, bot likelihood, holder concentration. Useful when pitching investors / partners: "we have X advantage over [competitor], here are the numbers."

Success criteria: You have one Compare snapshot saved or screenshot

  7. Set a monthly research cadence

Recurring calendar: 1st of each month, 30 min Competitor Tracker review. Re-scan all 5 competitors. Note: who moved up the health ladder (real momentum), who is bleeding (volume declining), who is faking harder (bot likelihood rising as they hide decline). This longitudinal view is unique competitive intelligence.

Success criteria: Recurring monthly reminder set in your calendar

What's next

You have monthly competitive intelligence. Use insights privately to position your launch / pitch / partnership talks. Do NOT call out competitors publicly based on this tool — heuristics have false-positive risk and reputationally-dangerous claims need higher evidentiary standards. Sister tool: Volume Health Widget (broadcast YOUR token quality publicly).
