What you'll have when finished

Before you start

  • You sign one EIP-712 popup PER SLICE. 8 slices = 8 popups back-to-back. Be ready
  • Iceberg internally expands slice count 4× — 4 user-slices = 16 popups. Pick TWAP for your first try
  • Cancel only stops PENDING slices. Already-submitted ones may still fill at the orderbook

Walkthrough

  1. Have 200 USDC + tiny ETH on Base

    You need 200 USDC on Base AND ~$0.50 of native ETH for approval gas. If you already approved USDC on CoW + Base for any other DEX feature, no new approval needed.

    Success criteria: MetaMask shows ≥ 200 USDC + some native ETH on Base

  2. Open DEX Algo Orders + connect wallet

    DEX Trade → DEX Algo Orders. Connect Wallet. Green Connected banner appears.

    Success criteria: Green Connected banner visible

  3. Pick TWAP profile

    Top of the form, profile picker has 3 options: TWAP / VWAP / Iceberg. Click TWAP — it pre-fills as the default. Read the description card below to confirm what TWAP means before moving on.

    Success criteria: TWAP card is highlighted (amber border)

  4. Pick CoW + Base + USDC → WETH + amount 200

    Protocol = CoW. Network = Base (chain-switch prompt may appear, approve it). Sell = USDC. Total amount = 200. Buy = WETH.

    Success criteria: All pickers match the values above with no chain warning

  5. Set window = 4 hours, slice count = 8

    Time window = 4 hours. Slice count = 8. Per-slice amount auto-computes to 25 USDC (200 / 8). Slice spacing = 30 minutes (240 min / 8 slices).

    Success criteria: Per-slice preview shows 25 USDC per slice

  6. Click Start + sign approval + 8 slices

    Click Start. First-time USDC on CoW + Base: ERC-20 approval (gas ~$0.05). Then 8 EIP-712 signatures back-to-back labeled "Sign 1 of 8" through "Sign 8 of 8". Be ready to click 8 times rapidly.

    Success criteria: All 8 signatures complete; row appears in orders list with status Running

  7. Watch slices fill across 4 hours

    Slice 1 submits within 1-2 minutes. Slices 2-8 fire on 30-minute intervals. Expand the row to see per-slice status: pending → submitted → filled. After ~4 hours, all 8 slices complete and status flips to Completed. The total WETH you receive is the sum of all 8 fill amounts.

    Success criteria: You can read the per-slice status grid and identify which slices have filled

What's next

You ran one TWAP successfully. Next experiments to try: VWAP at the same parameters to compare slice-sizing differences. Iceberg at 4 user-slices over 4 hours to see the 16-internal-slice expansion. For RECURRING accumulation (not one-shot), use DEX DCA instead — same engine, different mode.
