Reading your Dashboard in 5 minutes
What each number means, where it comes from, and what to do when something looks off
5 min · beginner
What you'll have when finished
- Understand what every hero metric counts and excludes
- Know how the time-range selector affects each section
- Spot the difference between "no activity yet" vs "activity not loading"
- Use the source breakdown to balance your trading across surfaces
Before you start
- "Today" is UTC, not your local time. A late-night EST trade may count toward tomorrow.
- The Dashboard does not auto-refresh. Click Refresh to pull the latest after placing a trade.
- Volume excludes pending orders. Open limit orders won't move the number until they fill.

Empty Dashboard: what it means and what to do
If you see the "No trading activity yet" empty state with four big buttons (Place CEX Trade / DEX Swap / Smart Trade / Algo Orders), that means you have ZERO filled trades on the platform. Possible causes: 1. You haven't placed any trades yet → pick a surface and click through to place one 2. You have open orders but none have filled → check the order's source page (the orders themselves live there, not the Dashboard) 3. You connected accounts but never executed → connection alone doesn't produce activity Click any of the four CTAs to jump to that surface. After your first fill, refresh the Dashboard and the empty state disappears.
Success criteria: Saw empty state and understood why · Placed first trade on chosen surface

The four hero metrics — what counts and what does not
The four cards at the top: **Trades Today** — count of filled trades in the current UTC day across every surface (CEX, DEX, Smart Trade, Algo, Futures, Limit Orders). Sub-line shows the matching USD volume. **Volume Today** — sum of all trade notional values in USD for the UTC day. Sub-line shows fees if recorded. A trade of 100 USDC worth of ETH counts as $100, regardless of which surface executed it. **Last 7 Days** — rolling 7-day window, not a calendar week. Right now − 7 days. Same UTC boundary as Today. **Last 30 Days** — rolling 30-day window. Useful for monthly comparison. These four are FIXED. The time-range selector (7d/30d/60d/90d/All) in the top-right does NOT change them. It only affects the chart, source breakdown, top pairs, and exchange/chain splits. What does NOT count toward these metrics: - Pending limit orders (only filled trades count) - Cancelled orders - Failed transactions (gas spent but no fill) - Tipping rewards from Community channels (those live in My Channel Earnings) - Paper Trading sessions (those are in /paper-trading, separate ledger)
Success criteria: Read all four hero cards · Understood Today is UTC · Knew which activities are excluded

Time-range selector and the activity chart
The 7d / 30d / 60d / 90d / All buttons in the top-right control: - The chart title ("30-Day Activity" vs "All-Time Activity") - The chart's data window - The source breakdown pie chart - The Top Trading Pairs ranking - The By Exchange / By Chain breakdowns They do NOT affect the four hero metrics above (those are fixed at Today / 7d / 30d). The chart shows daily USD volume across the selected range. Hover any day to see exact volume + trade count. Empty days produce no tooltip. If the whole chart is flat at zero with one spike, that spike is the day you placed a large trade — useful for checking attribution.
Success criteria: Switched between time ranges · Hovered the chart to see daily detail

Activity by Source — balancing your surfaces
The donut chart breaks down trade count by execution surface: - **CEX** — manual buys/sells through CEX Trading page - **Futures** — perpetual futures positions (only if your tier supports it) - **DEX Swap** — manual wallet swaps + Wallet Session trades - **DEX Limit** — automated DEX limit orders (CoW/1inch) - **Smart Trade** — bracket orders with TP + SL on CEX - **TWAP / VWAP / Iceberg / Bracket** — Algo Orders sub-surfaces If 100% of your activity is on one surface, you are probably under-using the platform. The strongest setups blend 2-3 surfaces — e.g. CEX for spot, DEX for new tokens not yet on your CEX, Smart Trade or Grid Bot for set-and-forget exposure on assets you'd hold anyway. Use this as a self-check: am I diversified across surfaces, or am I a one-trick trader?
Success criteria: Identified your top surface by count · Recognized whether your trading is over-concentrated on one surface

Top Pairs / By Exchange / By Chain — where you trade
Three more breakdowns sit below the source donut: **Top Trading Pairs** — symbols ranked by USD volume in the selected window. Use this to see if you're spreading across many pairs (a portfolio approach) or concentrated on one (a conviction approach). Neither is wrong, but know which you are. **By Exchange (CEX)** — splits CEX activity per venue (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, etc.). If you see one exchange dominating, ask why — sometimes that's lowest-fee, sometimes it's habit. **By Chain (DEX)** — swap counts per chain (Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, BSC, etc.). Heavy gas chains (Ethereum) should be a minority of swap counts unless every trade is meaningfully large. Most users gravitate to Base or Arbitrum once they realize gas costs. If one of these is empty when you expect it not to be: check whether you actually placed trades there, or whether you only placed orders that haven't filled.
Success criteria: Reviewed top pair concentration · Identified primary CEX venue · Identified primary chain for DEX activity

Recent Activity feed — your last 15 trades
The bottom section is a unified stream of your 15 most recent filled trades across every surface, ordered newest-first. Each row shows: - Source badge (color-coded by execution surface) - Side (BUY/SELL or LONG/SHORT — futures) - Symbol / pair - Venue (CEX exchange name) or chain (DEX) - USD amount (or token amount for DEX swaps where USD wasn't determinable) - Time-ago Click "View all →" in the section header to jump to the full Trade Analytics page. Use this feed to verify a trade you just placed appeared correctly. If you placed a Smart Trade 30 seconds ago and it's not at the top of this list, click Refresh — the Dashboard pulls on load and on click, not on a timer.
Success criteria: Verified your most recent trade is at the top of the feed · Clicked View all to see Trade Analytics

Onboarding Wizard — if you skipped it
If you skipped the first-time wizard, a "Finish setting up haythix" banner appears above the time-range selector. Click Resume — it picks up at the step you left off: 1. Connect an exchange (CCXT API key) 2. Connect a wallet (RainbowKit) 3. Pick a subscription tier 4. Set price alerts 5. Tour the trading surfaces You can complete it any time. New users who finish the wizard make their first trade 3x faster on average than those who skip. If you want to skip permanently, click X — the banner stops appearing.
Success criteria: Decided to Resume or permanently dismiss the wizard
